NAPOLEON BONAPARTE, Emperor of France, exceptional report to his Majesty, Emperor and King, signed by Napoleon, approving a leave of absence for a French battalion commander to attend to affairs related to the recent death of his mother. Napoleon boldly signs in the left margin, below the statement "apprové paris le 9 février 1813".
A simply gorgeous example of an authentic Napoleon signed document on imperial eagle watermarked paper, the symbol of his royal dynasty, in an antique framed display.

It would prove disastrous, ultimately ending in a decisive defeat at the Battle of Leipzig in October, and culminating in Napoleon's exile from France the following year in 1814.
