The copy of the rare original 1873 image depicts Johnson in a 3/4 view, and is based on an original photograph by M.J. Powers, Photographer and later sold through the Brady Portrait Gallery. A self-educated politican, Johnson served as Lincoln's Vice President and assumed the Presidency after his assassination.
