ANTONIO LOPEZ DE SANTA ANNA * PSA * Autograph Cut Signature ALAMO Signed

$995.00

Guaranteed Authentic

Mexican President and Alamo mission attacker General Antonio López de Santa Anna, known simply as "Santa Anna", authentic autograph cut signature custom card in PSA/DNA encapsulate. Santa Anna's signature and large flourish is mounted below a dramatic and desirable portrait of the flamboyant Mexican military leader and self-proclaimed "Napoleon of the West" over a battlefield background.

The cut signature likely originates from a $500 bond issued while Santa Anna was living in exile, against real estate owned in Vera Cruz. While he schemed to depose Emperor Maximilian, he issued these bonds in hopes of regaining power. As a result, he was captured and sentenced to death. However, he was later released and allowed to retire to New York where he later died blind and impoverished.

Today, Santa Anna is perhaps best remembered for his infamous bloody victory over the Texans at the Alamo, and later his eventual defeat and capture by Sam Houston at San Jacinto in 1836.

The SANTA ANNA cut signature has been thoroughly reviewed and CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC by PSA/DNA Authentication Services expert examination, and has been slabbed inside PSA/DNA's proprietary sonically-sealed encapsulate. UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEED GENUINE.

Condition is as shown. Superficial scratch to encapsulate over the portrait not significantly impacting display. Encapsulate measures appx. 6.5" x 10" with interior 4.5" x 7.25" custom card.
