Scarce original Official NASA Kennedy Space Center APOLLO 11 Blue Launch Pass featuring the printed mission insignia, ticket No. 3104. The printed front features dramatic shadow profiles of 3 helmeted astronauts silhouetted against an image of the moon.
Unlike the more common gray "general use" passes, blue viewing passes were generally reserved for high-level elite guests or top VIPs. About 5,000 were issued for the special viewing site that accommodated enough bleachers that had been arranged in a fan shape into four sections that extended from the north viewing area around to the Mobile Launcher park site.
Condition is as shown, consistent with age, use and wear. Pass measures appx. 3.5" x 5" and is encapsulated in a 4.25" x 7.25" PSA holder.
