Guaranteed Authentic

APOLLO 1 launchpad fire hero EDWARD H. WHITE II three (3) pages of extremely rare handwritten words, notations and underlines all in the hand of the legendary GEMINI and APOLLO astronaut. Notes are in graphite and/or red pencil. Pages come with a copy of the provenance from the highly respected ZARELLI Space Authentication.

Pages were carefully extracted from White's personal copy of his "Aircraft Structures" textbook while a student at the University of Michigan. White would later bring the same trusted textbook to NASA while undergoing his astronaut training.

EDWARD HIGGINS WHITE II was an American aeronautical engineer, U.S. Air Force officer, test pilot and NASA astronaut. On June 3, 1965 he became the first American to "walk" in space. White died tragically on the launchpad alongside his fellow astronauts VIRGIL "GUS" GRISSOM and ROGER B. CHAFFEE during prelaunch testing for the first manned APOLLO mission at Cape Canaveral on January 27, 1967. Today, White remains one of the scarcest and most sought-after Space signatures and documents. Only a handful of White's personal effects have EVER come to market.

Condition is as shown. NOTE: PAGES ARE NOT SIGNED OR AUTOGRAPHED by White. Listing is for the pages shown here featuring the handwritten notations and underlines of Edward H. White II. Pages measure appx. 5.5" x 9" each.
