Renowned American architect and designer FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT fantastically testy, terse June 24, 1957 3-page autograph letter signed on Wright's personal Taliesin letterhead threatening to resign over further modifications to his Lenkurt Electric Company headquarters design project.  Wright signs at conclusion with a fine, full blue ink signature. With additional interior corrections and edits in a secretarial hand – except the word, "money" which appears to be in the same color ink as Wright's signature. A fascinating, inside look at Wright's fabled, unbuilt masterwork.



The Lenkurt Electric Company project was a 1955 unbuilt commission designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for a new company headquarters in San Carlos, CA, in what is now Silicon Valley. It was notable for its massive scale, with designs featuring a 3-story auditorium/cafeteria pavilion, though it was never constructed. The company was bought by General Telephone and Electronics (GTE) shortly before the design was finalized, leading to the cancellation of the ambitious, sprawling manufacturing facility.
