32nd President of the United States, FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT excellent undated EXECUTIVE MANSION card boldly signed in black fountain pen as Governor of New York. The card presents exceptionally well, with light overall toning.

Roosevelt was encouraged to run for Governor by New York Governor Al Smith, who by then was the nominee in the 1928 Presidential election. Roosevelt would win by a slim margin, serving as Governor from 1929 - 1932. Roosevelt's efforts as governor to address the effects of the depression in his own state established him as the front-runner for the 1932 Democratic presidential nomination, which he would go on to win later that year. Roosevelt served as President from 1933 until his death in 1945. He was the longest serving U.S. President, and the only one to have served more than two terms.
