NOTE: the Ford signed $2 bill is Series 2003, a later printing of the $2 bicentennial currency design.

The United States $2 bill is a current but rarely circulated denomination of U.S. currency. Featuring a portrait of Thomas Jefferson on front, and an engraving of John Trumbull's Declaration of Independence painting on the reverse, the $2 bill was reintroduced on April 13, 1976 (Thomas Jefferson's birthday) as a Federal Reserve note with a new bicentennial reverse design.

Ford became the 38th U.S. President on August 9, 1974 following Richard Nixon's resignation due to the Watergate scandal. For is the only person to hold the Presidency without being elected to it or the Vice Presidency, having been appointed VP in 1973 after Spiro Agnew resigned.
