Legendary American Big Band trombonists, arranger, composer and bandleader GLENN MILLER handsome boldly signed photo, Miller appends his signature in graphite to the reverse of the image. Two annotations to verso "8-7-42" and "Hershey Park Ball Room" in an unknown hand, likely cooresponding to the date and performance the autograph was obtained at.
Miller was the best-selling recording artist from 1939-1942, best known for "In The Mood", Moonlight Serenade", "Pennsylvania 6-5000", Chattanooga Choo-Choo, among many others. In just four years, Miller scored 16 number one records and 69 Top 10 hits before tragically dying when his aircraft vanished in bad weather over the English Channel. Miller was just 40 years old. To date, not a single trace of the musician or aircraft has ever been found.
