Fourth President of the United States JAMES MADISON rare, double authenticated partly printed handwritten bank check signed as President from Washington, November 16, 1814. Drawn on the Bank of Columbia, Madison makes the "Private Account" check payable to "A.B. or bearer six hundred dollars", and boldly signs in full below.


In 1814 dollars, $600 was the equivalent of about $15k today.
