Legendary American actor and Hollywood icon JOHN WAYNE twice (2x) signed autograph candid b&w honeymoon photo showing the newlywed actor out on the town with his third wife, Pilar. On the front, along the bottom Wayne has inscribed in black ink, "Good Luck, John Wayne." Non-standard size 3.5" x 5.5" photo.
Perhaps sensing that the front signature was poorly placed, Wayne reinscribes the back of the photo in blue ballpoint pen, "Good Luck, Ginna, John Wayne". The signature is dated "1956" as well as, "Pilar (+ John Wayne) on honeymoon" in an unknown hand. Pilar and Wayne were married from 1954 - 1973 so it would suggest that Wayne actually signed the photo sometime later in 1956.

Condition is as shown, consistent with age, use and handling. Some flow issues to the ink signature on the front due to the finish. Photo is non-standard size and measures appx. 3.5" x 6.5" inside 6.5" x 10" encapsulate. Irregularly trimmed right edge, stray pencil marks at top of verso with some light toning and staining as well, not affecting secondary inscription.
