PRINCESS DIANA & KING CHARLES III * PSA * Autograph Family Xmas Card Signed 1985

Classic 1985 Royal Family Christmas card authentically signed by both KING CHARLES III and PRINCESS DIANA featuring an original full color photograph of Diana, Charles, Prince William, young Prince Harry and William. Charles usually took on the task of inscribing these cards - however, in this particular example Diana has additionally handwritten the words "Collie" and "with love from us all" on the card. Gorgeous, bold examples of prime signatures from the fabled royal couple. With embossed gold gilt royal seals on cover. Also included is the original mailing envelope which was used to mail the card to the recipient!

As their marriage deteriorated Charles and Diana began heavily relying on autopen (machine signed) signatures for many of their holiday cards and photos. This card originates from the personal collection of Violet Collison (1924–2013), affectionately known to Diana as “Collie.” Collison served as head housekeeper to Diana’s parents at Park House on the Sandringham Estate, where Diana was born and spent her early childhood. She became a trusted, almost familial presence in Diana’s life, and their close relationship endured throughout the Princess’s adulthood. Diana regularly corresponded with Collison, who was invited to the 1981 royal wedding and later attended Diana’s funeral in 1997.

The Charles and Diana autographs have been thoroughly reviewed and CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC BY PSA/DNA EXPERT EXAMINATION and encapsulated inside PSA/DNA's proprietary sonically-sealed, tamper-evident holder. UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEED GENUINE. 

Condition is as shown. Card is clean and measures approx. 7.25" x 10" open, as displayed, inside approx. 10" x 13" encapsulate. NOTE: several examples of "Newton's Ring" appear on the reverse side of the encapsulate (the rings that look like little air bubbles trapped inside) – a harmless byproduct of the slabbing process, not affecting the autograph or image.
