MARY I, also known as MARY TUDOR, was the daughter of King Henry VIII by his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. As the wife of King Philip II of Spain, she was also the Queen of Spain from 1556 until her death in 1558. It was Mary's brutal persecution of Protestants earned her the nickname of "Blood Mary". During her five-year reign, more than 280 religious dissenters were burned at the stake leading later commentators to label her "Bloody Mary".
Documents signed by Queen Mary I simply as "Mary" have recently sold for upwards of $30,000+. This fuller signature as "Mary the Queen" presents an exceptional opportunity to obtaining a superior style of Mary's signature at a fraction of the cost!
