26th President the United States THEODORE ROOSEVELT short typewritten letter signed on METROPOLITAN stationery, dated November 3, 1916 thanking his correspondent for [that] "...mighty nice letter of yours". Signed at conclusion as "Sincerely yours, T. Roosevelt".

In 1916, Roosevelt was encouraged by many to run for president again, a notion which he entertained but ultimately declined. METROPOLITAN was an American magazine, published monthly from 1895 to 1925 in New York City. Roosevelt was an editor of the magazine during World War I when it focused on politics and literature.
