Winston Churchill Signed Letter as Prime Minister to Former British Spy Discussing Painting

Legendary United Kingdom Prime Minister WINSTON S. CHURCHILL hand-signed letter as Prime Minister on 10 Downing Street stationery dated December 10, 1954 thanking a friend for sending "one of your pictures for my birthday". Churchill has handwritten "My dear Fletcher", and "yours sincerely Winston S. Churchill". 

Fletcher was an accomplished painter and presumably Churchill was thanking him for sending one, noting "The framework of the new building provides an interesting pattern. It must have been great fun to paint."

Sir Walter Fletcher, CBE MP was a British businessman, World War I veteran, Special Operations Executive's secret agent and smuggler, fine artist, and Conservative Party Politician. Fletcher and Churchill knew each other as colleagues in the British House of Commons.
