Legendary 16th President of the United States, ABRAHAM LINCOLN, signature cut from the closing of a letter. Lincoln has penned the inscription "yours as ever A. Lincoln". Scarce early signature style dates from the mid 1840's.

Striking matted display in ornate, custom-made 16" x 9.25" vintage real wood frame with gold insets, featuring pale fabric mat over golden inset, with fine reproduction antique portrait and luxe museum-quality descriptive plaque. 

 

Signature measures 2.75" x .75". Some shadowing to the signature as the autograph was folded over itself while the ink was still wet. Otherwise very fine condition.
