AARON BURR * JSA * With Sons of Liberty Member Autograph Legal Document Signed

Aaron Burr and Prominent Sons of Liberty Member Marinus Willet Partial Court Document Signed 

Infamous 3rd Vice President of the United States and Hamilton Duel participant AARON BURR partial 1786 New York Legal document signed on the reverse "Burr atty". The document is additionally countersigned on the reverse by Marinus Willet - he is considered to be the informal leader of the New York City branch of the Sons of Liberty. From there Willet served in Battle alongside George Washington rising to the rank of Colonel in the Continental Army. After the War Willet would lead a illustrious political career eventually being elected to serve as the Mayor of New York. Willet signs at the very bottom of the reverse "M Willett".

Before murdering beloved American icon ALEXANDER HAMILTON, Aaron Burr was one of the most famous practicing legal attorney's in New York City, said to have charged the highest price for his services, but almost always getting his clients favorable decisions. Many of Burrs close friends would say Burr was a much better lawyer than Alexander Hamilton, who Burr would work with from time to time. 


Document is in fragile condition, some foxing and wrinkles, tape to reverse side of the document (not affecting Burr's signature but touching the word "Sheriff" written by Willet), paper loss to left side -- consistent with age, use and handling. At largest dimensions document measures approx. 8.5" x 4.5".
