NASA APOLLO ASTRONAUT MULTI-SIGNED CODE 3 COLLECTIBLE STATUE 

Fantastic, large and detailed Limited Edition model statue of an Apollo astronaut figure saluting the American flag on the lunar surface, entitled "America Wins the Space Race," signed by 6 including moonwalkers ALAN BEAN, GENE CERNAN and astronauts FRED HAISE, WALTER CUNNINGHAM, FRANK BORMAN, and JOE KERWIN. Featuring silver paint pen signatures around 3 sides of the base.

Hand-cast and painted by Code 3 Collectibles and jointly developed with the Smithsonian Institution for the National Air and Space Museum collection, the detailed model includes an astronaut in space suit together with the American flag and base sculpted with lunar rocks, pebbles, boot prints, and engraved plate. The flag and the astronaut detach for storage.

Alan Bean was just the 4th man to walk on the moon, while Gene Cernan was the 12th and final astronaut to set foot on the lunar surface. Lunar Module Pilot Fred Haise flew aboard the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission; Walt Cunningham was LMP on Apollo 7; Frank Borman commanded Apollo 8, the first mission to fly around the moon; Joe Kerwin served as science pilot aboard the Skylab 2 mission.

In good condition, with few minor blemishes as shown, consistent with age, display and handling. Astronaut sculpture measures appx. 5" x 9.5" x 4" with 12" x 9.5" x 1.5" base. PSA's COA notes Bean's signature has been retraced in an unknown hand although we suspect Bean himself went over his signature as the first pen he used didn't apply the ink very well.
