$425.00
Guaranteed Authentic
30th U.S. President CALVIN COOLIDGE, authentic typewritten letter signed on personal letterhead dated April 14, 1930 from Northampton, MA regarding an interest payment due to his son from the local bank. At the time, Coolidge was in the process of setting up a trust for his son, John. Signed at conclusion.
Post-presidency, Coolidge retired to his hometown and finally bought his first permanent house, The Beeches in Northampton with his wife and former First Lady, Grace Coolidge. The famously frugal ex-President frequently admonished his only surviving son on matters of personal budgeting, work ethic and self-reliance.
A Republican lawyer from Massachusetts, Coolidge had previously served as the 29th Vice President under Warren G. Harding, assuming the presidency upon Harding's untimely death in 1923. Nicknamed the "do-nothing president", the political genius of Coolidge, it has been said, was his talent for effectively, functionally, doing nothing at all – enjoying the perks of his office while things were going well around the world.
The Coolidge autograph letter has been thoroughly reviewed and CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC by PSA/DNA Authentication Services EXPERT EXAMINATION and encapsulated using PSA/DNA's proprietary sonically-sealed technology. Your assurance of absolute authenticity. GUARANTEED GENUINE.
