Dylan has neatly penned the lyrics in black ink across the 8.5"x11" page of Ritz Carlton stationery. Apart from the original draft, these are the only known lyrics of "Mr. Tambourine Man'" that have been offered for sale.
Dylan's manager Jeff Rosen notes that there are just 4 other manuscripts of this song in existence, none of which have ever been publicly offered for sale. Originally released on his 1965 album Bringing It All Back Home, Mr. Tambourine Man is considered by many to be one of Dylan's greatest hits of all time. The song has been performed and recorded by many artists, including the Byrds, Judy Collins, Melanie, Odetta, and Stevie Wonder among others. The song is so influential that both Dylan's original recording and the Byrds cover have spots on "Rolling Stones 500 Best Songs Ever" list.
