American General of the Army, WWII and Korean War Commander & Liberator of the Philippines, DOUGLAS MacARTHUR dramatic hand-illustrated, "REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR" autograph First Day Cover depicting a feisty Uncle Sam rolling up his sleeves to prepare to go to war over a symbolic fallen Hawaii with a Japanese knife in its back. MacArthur boldly signs alongside a "Let's Go U.S.A." rallying cry, and adds a dramatic underscore to his signature.

Postmarked the 4th of July, 1942 and featuring a block of 4 "V for Victory/Win the War" 3¢ stamps, it's about as patriotic an image as you can get, signed by one of America's greatest generals.

The charismatic and dashing MacArthur was one of the most famous American military leaders in the world and his dramatic return to his beloved Philippines was a crowning achievement in his relentless battle to drive the Japanese Army out of Southwest Asia. President Franklin D. Roosevelt awarded MacArthur the Medal of Honor for his courageous defense of the Philippines. Ultimately, it was MacArthur himself who accepted the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945.
