The front side features scalloped edges along with an image of the handsome, young singer and movie star with German caption, "Elvis Presley in dem Centfox-CinemaScope-Farbfilm "Pulverdampf und heiße Lieder", ("Gunpowder Smoke and Hot Songs"), the German release title for the 1957 Elvis movie, Loving You. Elvis signs across the back in the message portion with a bold, blue ink signature.

1957 was a breakthrough year for the young star who appeared in two movies, Loving You and Jailhouse Rock, and recorded their soundtracks. He also made significant television appearances including his final shows on The Ed Sullivan Show, and embarked on his first concerts in Canada and Hawaii. The year culminated with him receiving his military draft notice in December.
Condition is as shown with small tears to left and right margin, tape residue and previous signs of mounting to verso. Some paper loss to address portion, as shown. Postcard measures approx. 3.5" x 5.5" and overall encapsulate measures 6.5" x 10".
