"THE GREAT GATSBY" author, novelist, and short story writer, F. SCOTT FITZGERALD incredibly scarce autograph envelope featuring a handwritten signed return address panel. Additionally, Fitzgerald adds, "Personal" below in his hand. Dated November 7, 1935 the envelope is addressed in type to Arnold Gingrich who was the Editor and co-founder of Esquire Magazine.

Fitzgerald writes in blue ink fountain pen: "F. Scott Fitzgerald / Cambridge Apts / Chas & 34th / Baltimore, MD".  Shortly after the publication and failure of Tender Is The Night in 1935, the financially strapped author moved to the Cambridge Arms apartments. His wife, Zelda, was being treated at nearby Sheppard Pratt Hospital.  Fitzgerald stayed here until the following year, when he moved to The Stafford Hotel in the Mt. Vernon district of Baltimore.

Widely considered one of the greatest authors of the 20th century, Fitzgerald is also among the scarcest and most highly sought after literary autographs, having died at the relatively young age of just 44 years old. Additionally, while Fitzgerald achieved popular success during his lifetime, it wasn't until after his death that he achieved critical acclaim and widespread popularity.
