In 1959, Davis became a member of the "Rat Pack", a group of close-knit Las Vegas entertainers led by Sinatra, which included fellow performers Dean Martin, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford, John F. Kennedy's brother-in-law. As the story goes, after one particularly loud night of drinking, carousing and partying with actor Humphrey Bogart, Bogart's wife, actress Lauren Bacall to remarked to them, "You look like a pack of rats"; The name stuck.
