Franklin D. Roosevelt typewritten letter signed as Vice President of the Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland – a job he held briefly working for a friend while out of political office – and the same year he would win the election as Governor of New York, setting him firmly on the path to a political comeback. In the letter, Roosevelt mentions former Secretary of Commerce [Herbert] Hoover who himself would go on to become the 31st President the following year, in 1929.
