38th President of the United States GERALD R. FORD autograph unused bookplate signed with Ford's name and "38th President of the United States of America" stamped beneath a gilt seal of the United States. Ford signs in bold black marker below. A fine, clean specimen of Ford's signature that looks like it was signed yesterday.

Ford was the only person to have served as U.S. Vice President and U.S. President without being elected to either position. Ford, the 38th president, had succeeded the presidency upon the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974.
