GERALD R. FORD * JSA * Autograph LETTER SIGNED * 38th POTUS

38th President of the United States GERALD R. FORD autograph letter signed on his personal letterhead, dated December 15, 1979, with Ford's name stamped beneath a gilt embossed seal of the United States. Ford, responding to an autograph request, mentions his freshly published autobiography, "A Time To Heal" and signs in bold black ink below. A fine, clean specimen of Ford's signature that looks like it was signed virtually yesterday.

Ford was the only person to have served as U.S. Vice President and U.S. President without being elected to either position. Ford, the 38th president, had succeeded the presidency upon the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974.
