JACQUELINE KENNEDY MOURNING STATIONERY LETTER FEATURING JFK's COAT OF ARMS AND MENTIONING THE LATE PRESIDENT
Legendary socialite, book editor and America's First Lady, JACQUELINE KENNEDY scarce, exceptional signed letter dated November 18, 1964 on black bordered mourning stationery featuring JFK's coat of arms, and mentioning the fallen President. Full black ink signature as "Jacqueline Kennedy".
Nearly one year to the day from the assassination, Jackie reaches out to paralyzed athlete Brian Sternberg to tell him that, "President Kennedy would have been so proud of your letter and of the courage and perseverance you displayed in typing and signing it yourself under such difficult circumstances", assuring him, "It is such a wonderful tribute to him -- and one which means so very much to me."
A fantastic note from Jackie, bravely showing her own "courage and perseverance...under such difficult circumstances" just one year after JFK's assassination.
Sternberg was a world-record holder in the men's pole vault who was tragically paralyzed from the neck down after a trampoline accident in 1963.
The Jacqueline Kennedy autograph has been thoroughly reviewed and CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC BY PSA/DNA EXPERT EXAMINATION and encapsulated using PSA/DNA's proprietary sonically-sealed technology. UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEED GENUINE. An investment-quality acquisition for any collection.
