Legendary Grateful Dead leader and musician JERRY GARCIA authentic original unsigned airbrush artwork on paper created by Jerry Garcia depicting a blurry face purchased from the collection of Jerry’s former wife, Carolyn “Mountain Girl” Adams Garcia.
Regarding Jerry's airbrush artwork his wife Carolyn recollected:
“Jerry was just beginning to use the airbrush in 1985. The airbrush was fast, crisp, and exciting with strong, smooth color...He was having fun with it and gave his paintings the same intense attention that he gave to learning new songs.”
Garcia was an exceptionally talented artist, renowned both as the legendary Grateful Dead lead guitarist and singer/songwriter, as well as a prolific visual artist who produced thousands of drawings, paintings and lithographs.
The Garcia original artwork is accompanied by our signed COA relating the provenance of the piece. Signaturist-Ink acquired this item when Julien’s Auction sold off several original artworks and artifacts from Garcia’s family and friends. This artwork was noted in the listing as being from "From the Collection of Carolyn 'Mountain Girl' Adams Garcia". Carolyn had consigned several pieces of Garcia's artwork to Julien's including this one.
Condition is as shown. Dimensions: 12 x 9 in; 30.48 x 22.86 cm. Artwork is on paper stock, exhibits some areas of blemish and staining.
