JIM MCDIVITT, Gemini IV and Apollo IX astronaut hand-signed canvas print. McDivitt has inscribed the canvas “You smeared up my windshield you dirty dog.” He then signed the canvas and added “Gemini IV CDR” below his signature.
The quote derives from when White, who was relying on a 25-foot tether to maneuver himself after his oxygen-jet gun ran out of fuel, accidentally bumped the spacecraft. “You smeared up my windshield, you dirty dog,” McDivitt cracked.
The autograph was originally obtained at a Novaspace private signing conducted with McDivitt in 2017. Included with the original COA from the signing.
Canvas is in excellent condition and measures 10”x10”.
