American Baseball legend JOE DiMAGGIO's personally owned vintage b&w photos from his wedding day to icon MARILYN MONROE, with original C.O.A. from his granddaughters from the famed 2006 The Joe DiMaggio Collection at Public Auction by Hunt Auctions. Interestingly, the collection C.O.A. notes that, "...these two images were the only two vintage photographs of Joe's wedding day within the entire collection."

Married on January 14, 1954, the two black and white 8x10 images include Joe and Marilyn walking outside the courthouse, and a news service photograph picturing Joe and Marilyn kissing while waiting in the judge's chambers before being married. Their fabled marriage lasted only 274 days, with Monroe filing for divorce in October 1954.
Both vintage photos come in the original auction toploaders which still retain the original Hunt and DiMaggio Collection stickers. Hunt Auctions conducted the historic public auction of DiMaggio's personal collection at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on May 19 and 20, 2006. The four session sale featured thousands of items including Yankees memorabilia, personal items and awards, setting numerous record prices for items spanning his life and legendary career.
The included Auction Letter of Provenance/C.O.A. featuring a DiMaggio watermark is certified with printed signatures from the slugger's two granddaughters, Paula DiMaggio Hamra and Kathie DiMaggio Stein who attest that the two photographs "...belonged to our grandfather, Baseball Hall of Famer Joe Dimaggio, and originate(s) directly from his personal collection."
Condition is as shown. PLEASE REVIEW PHOTOS FOR EXACT CONDITION. Although the auction C.O.A. notes that the images were EX-MT at the time of the 2006 auction, we are conservatively describing them in 2026 as in EX condition. A slight curl is noted in the original image of Marilyn and Joe walking when removed from the toploader; Slight light surface discoloration over DiMaggio's suit in the image, similar to small coffee cup ring.
