The son of Second U.S. President John Adams, John Quincy Adams served as Secretary of State from 1817 - 1825 before succeeding James Monroe as President. 1822 was a busy year for Adams as he managed major foreign policy issues and laid the groundwork for his own future presidency, all while fulfilling his crucial role as Secretary of State.

The JQ Adams cut signature has been thoroughly reviewed and CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC BY PSA/DNA EXPERT EXAMINATION and encapsulated inside PSA/DNA's sonically-sealed, tamper-evident holder. UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEED GENUINE.

Condition is as shown with toning, irregular edges, deep fold at midline, paper loss to upper right, chipping at lower edge. Cut document measures appx. 4" x 6.75" inside appx. 6.5" x 10" encapsulate.
