BRITAIN'S BELOVED WAR HERO GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIP

Field Marshal HORATIO HERBERT KITCHENER, 1st Earl Kitchener cut signature affixed to striking reproduction cabinet card, boldly signed as simply, "Kitchener".

Kitchener was a British Army Officer and war hero who came to prominence for his imperial campaigns, his involvement in the Second Boer War, and his central role in the early part of World War I. On June 5, 1916, Kitchener was making his way to Russia aboard the HMS Hampshire to attend negotiations with Tsar Nicholas II when in bad weather the ship struck a German mine 1.5 miles west of Orkney, Scotland, and sank. Kitchener, who was last seen standing on the quarterdeck in the 20 minutes it took to sink, was among the 737 who died. His body was never recovered.

The KITCHENER cut signature has been thoroughly examined and CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC BY PSA/DNA EXPERT EXAMINATION, and encapsulated using PSA/DNA's proprietary sonically-sealed technology. GUARANTEED GENUINE. A museum-quality acquisition for any collection.
