Queen Elizabeth I * PSA * Cut Signature Circa 1588 Autograph

At 435 years old on this particular autograph, any signature of Elizabeth I is considered incredibly scarce. Full documents can sell for upwards of $35,000. This signature appears to date from the same year she repelled the Spanish Armada!

The only surviving child of HENRY VIII and ANNE BOLEYN, and the last Tudor monarch, the 55-year old Elizabeth signed this rare fragment circa 1588, the date derived from a plaque that had accompanied the cut signature.

Condition is as shown with heavy foxing, staining, deep folds and paper loss consistent with age, use and handling consistent with a 435+ year old document. Previous signs of mounting, with repairs noted to reverse. Cut page measures 2.5"x5.5", encapsulate measures 4.75"x9.5".
