World-renowned Spanish surrealist SALVADOR DALI, exceptionally desirable signed color reproduction of his most celebrated masterpiece, "The Persistence of Memory" (1931), featuring a magnificent, oversized autograph across the lower margin, signed in blue ink as "Dali" with his characteristic elaborate flourishes. Dalí has additionally embellished the lower margin with a whimsical original pen-and-ink sketch depicting two slender human figures beneath a radiant starburst.
We believe the mat was signed by Dali, and the artwork was subsequently added at a later date.
The Dali autograph has been thoroughly reviewed and CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC BY PSA/DNA EXPERT EXAMINATION. GUARANTEED GENUINE. Purchase includes original PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity.
Painted in 1931 when Dalí was just 27 years old, The Persistence of Memory remains one of the most recognizable works of surrealist art ever created. Its haunting landscape of melting clocks, barren trees, and dreamlike forms has become an enduring symbol of the fluidity of time and the mysteries of the subconscious. The original painting has been housed in New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) since 1934.
Condition is as shown, framed and matted to an overall size of 16.5" x 19.5 ". Vintage gold-color wood frame under 98% UV-blocking acrylic pane. The artwork itself is a reproduction of Salvador Dalí's celebrated painting The Persistence of Memory and is not an original, limited-edition, or numbered print.
