26th President the United States THEODORE ROOSEVELT letter signed on The Outlook stationery, dated June 22, 1910. The typewritten note has since faded, leaving behind only the signature as "T. Roosevelt".
As such, with respect to condition, this letter is priced accordingly.
Having left office in 1909, 1910 was a dynamic year for the active former President, with trips to Sudan, Egypt and Europe where the popular TR was treated with high esteem. That same year also saw the publication of his books, "African Game Trails", "American Problems", "The New Nationalism", followed by a speaking tour of sixteen states in the West.
Outside of politics, Roosevelt was an Editor for The Outlook, a small but influential weekly journal of opinion, following the presidency. As Editor, Roosevelt was a prolific author, writing with passion on subjects ranging from foreign policy to the importance of the national park system. Roosevelt continued to serve The Outlook until 1914, before transferring his editorial work to the Metropolitan.

Condition is as shown with heavy toning, staining, fading, deep mailing folds, some paper separation. Letter has been trimmed and previously mounted to board stock. Letter measures appx. 5.75" x 7.75" inside 10" x 13" encapsulate.
