EXCEPTIONAL PHOTOGRAPH SIGNED AS PRESIDENT AND DEDICATED TO FELLOW ROUGH RIDER

26th President of the United States THEODORE ROOSEVELT presentation photograph signed AS PRESIDENT to a fellow Rough Rider. Roosevelt inscribes on the mat, "With best wishes to Comrade Griffin and all his family from Comrade Theodore Roosevelt Oct 4th 1904"

Roosevelt routinely signed correspondence to his fellow Rough Riders as "comrade" Theodore Roosevelt - this photo is one such example. This photo appears to be inscribed to Roosevelt's 1st Lieutenant of Troop E of the Rough Riders William E Griffin. Roosevelt had kept up a correspondence with Griffin after the Rough Riders and into the White House years.

Roosevelt signs on the day of his Executive Order creating the Breton Island National Wildlife Refuge, as well as the death of his Postmaster General.

CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC BY PSA/DNA EXPERT EXAMINATION. The document is encapsulated inside PSA/DNA's proprietary sonically-sealed, tamper-evident holder. UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEED GENUINE.

The Rough Riders were a volunteer cavalry unit led by Theodore Roosevelt during the Spanish-American War, famed for their charge up San Juan Hill in 1898. This bold leadership and military success boosted Roosevelt’s national fame and helped launch his path to the presidency.
