Legendary "Wizard of Menlo Park" and American Inventor THOMAS EDISON distinguished vintage matte-finish portrait by Walter Scott Shinn of New York, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen, “To our good friend, Hillian, Thos. A. Edison.” 

We believe Edison likely signed the portrait for B.C. Hillian, a performer and songwriter whose work appeared on Edison's record label and was part of the old-time vaudeville musical comedy team of "Flotsam and Jetsam".
