Remarkable cut signature of President William McKinley, neatly affixed beneath a classic printed engraved portrait of the martyred leader. This early cut signature dates from McKinley's legal career in the 1870's, McKinley signs with his full signature as "William McKinley Jr", later in his presidency he would shorten his signature and drop the "Jr". He additionally adds "att[orne]y for pl[ain]t[i]ff" below his signature.
