Former Monarch EDWARD VIII and Wallis Simpson, The Duke and Duchess of Windsor, autograph sheet bearing the royal coat of arms signed as EDWARD and WALLIS WINDSOR, and mounted to a partial BUCKINGHAM PALACE undated note that accompanied the autographs.
Wallis Simpson was an American socialite divorcée who became the wife of Prince Edward, Duke of Windsor (Edward VIII) after the latter had abdicated the British throne in order to marry her. Following his controversial abdication, Edward and Wallis lived in exile in Paris, except when he was Governor of the Bahamas.
Condition is as shown with visible wear and staining. Signature portion measures appx. 3.5 x 4", mounted to the reverse of 4" x 4.75" partial sheet of Buckingham Palace letterhead.
